Nuclear power and radiation protection

The national nuclear power policy is based on the conviction that nuclear energy is irreconcilable with the principles and priorities of sustainable development. Nor is nuclear energy a cost-effective and viable option against the anthropogenic greenhouse effect.

  • General radiation protection at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water

    Since the year 2000, “general issues of protection from ionising radiation”, with a focus on radiation protection legislation and emergency provisions, have been a competency of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management.
