Austria on the way to a national adaptation strategy

Eleven of the last twelve years were the warmest since the beginning of the temperature records. We are in the midst of global climate change and are especially in the Alpine area very heavily affected. The anthropogenic climate change is already taking place and can be counter-measures if no longer delayed, but only in their effects are mitigated. It is therefore necessary in addition to climate protection measures called for urgent action on adaptation to climate change to be set.

    The third national climate report presents Austrian greenhouse gas emissions in keeping with the annual inventory report of April 2001.
