Nuclear Policy – Strategic Elements
The nuclear policy of the Federal Government comprises three strategic elements: – a risk-related dimension, a energy-economics related dimension, a legal dimension
The risk-related dimension relates to all activities aimed at reducing the hazard potential of nuclear power plants. The energy-economics related dimension comprises cooperation and support for the Central and Eastern European countries aimed at helping to create the conditions for the abandonment of nuclear power in these countries. Examples include the energy partnerships entered into with Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and Hungary. http://www.eva.ac.at/enercee/index.htm Last but not least, the legal dimension comprises the further development of Austrian law and international law to safeguard the interests of the Austrian population and to protect the environment.Links of topic:
